Two guys visited restaurants and decided to tip $200 to each server they had. The results were awesome and in the process made me think I'm pretty cheap.

In all honesty, I'm a decent tipper. Standard 20% regardless of service. Phenomenal service gets you more.

If you've ever worked in the service industry, you know how important tips are. They're the bread and butter, it's what pays the bills, your tip is what keeps their lights on.

I know, because I've been there. Before I started my illustrious radio career, I was a bartender. A good tip made the job worthwhile, but a crappy tip was the absolute worst. Plus, I never forgot who was a good or bad tipper.

That's Don Nelson. A NBA Hall of Fame Coach and bad tipper (in my experience at least). The two fingers up and the two fingers down in the picture are probably referring to the two pennies he left me when he came into the bar that I was working at in 2002.

That said, that's why those guys leaving $200 for random servers is just the kind of thing that they need. They probably won't forget their face, and because of that, their drinks will never be empty.
