‘World’s Ugliest Woman’ Shows Beauty Is Only Skin Deep [VIDEO]

Lizzie Velasquez, 26, has gone from bullying victim to an anti-bullying activist.

Velasquez was born with Marifan and lipodysrophy, has never weighed more than 64 pounds and is also blind in one eye, according to the Independent.

She has been bullied her entire life. Velasquez mentions a heartbreaking story of how she came across a YouTube video where she was labeled the "World's Ugliest Woman."

That video has been watched four million times. The comments under the video are tragic.

I could only imagine the pain that she and her parents had to endure. However there is a silver lining to Velasquez's story.

After a speech that garnered her national attention in 2013, Vasquez formed a Kickstarter campaign to fund a documentary about bullying.

She got the funding necessary to make the film, and it debuted at SXSW this past Saturday in Austin.

There is no official release date for the documentary but I hope her story gets out there. It's something that everyone needs to see.
