If there's one woman in life you don't want to mess with, it's Mother Nature.

I can't lie, I have a pretty irrational fear of thunderstorms. However, after seeing this video, I don't feel like my fear is very irrational. There's a ton of elements that scare me about thunderstorms. Growing up my house constantly flooded and lost power, so I hated that about storms. But when I was younger I was seriously afraid of the thunder and lightning.

According to the CDC, here's your chances of getting struck by lightning -

Lightning is one of the leading causes of weather-related fatalities. But the odds of being struck by lightning in a given year are only around 1 in 500,000.

Well, turns out one Wisconsin tree has pretty good odds. A security camera at a Wautoma High School captured the moment a lightning strike destroyed a tree right outside the building.

The principal Jennifer Johnson said lightning struck the tree just as students were sitting down to take the ACT Aspire test. Can you even imagine? I'd feel like that was a total bad omen for the test. But like I said before, Mother Nature doesn't ever hold back.

So here's the video of lightning striking a tree outside a Wisconsin High School.
How wild is that? The lightning literally just disintegrated that tree on the spot. As scary as it is to watch, it's also just an incredible example of how intense Mother Nature can be some days.
