Watch a Goose Steal The Show at a Cubs Spring Training Game
Sometimes the best part of a sporting event is the part that wasn't planned.
It doesn't take much to distract an entire crowd of humans from their favorite team. In fact, recently, all it took was a goose. A Canadian Goose to be specific. That goose crashed a Cubs Spring Training game.
Here's the thing, if you didn't know this about geese, they're pretty violent. So it's not a pigeon or seagull out there, it's a massive bird that's ready to square up at any moment. I mean, personally, I wouldn't want this thing mad at me.
With a wing span of 4-6 feet ... NO THANKS!
But you don't really have much room to run when you're in your position out on the baseball field. Cubs Rafael Ortega had to watch his back during part of a recent Spring Training game because a Canadian goose decided to crash to game. The commentary about the goose is one of the best parts of the whole thing.
Sure baseball is exciting, but it's not every day you get to do play by plays of a goose in the outfield.
Do you see how violent those things are? Imagine diving for a catch and getting bit by that thing! OUCH.
A lot of the comments on the YouTube video are asking the MLB to share more animal clips because they're undeniably adorable and/or hilarious. I mean, check out this shot from the goose spring training game -
Hilarious.
